Two Poems by Erma Grimmett
Just Life
Thru out this long and busy life
We see a lot of things.
We struggle on and work so hard
Hoping happiness it brings.
A little here, a little there
Each day we plod along.
With a big smile upon your face
Just sing a happy song.
When trials come as they usually do
Just smile and grin and bear it.
As the days go by things can change
For the best, I swear it.

The Joy of Motherhood
No matter who the person
I don’t believe he could
With brush or pen even express
The joy of motherhood.
A little gift from Heaven
God has understood
And given unto woman
The joy of motherhood.
Some search for worldly riches
But they are not half as good
As the treasures, just a baby’s smile
Oh! The joy of motherhood.
